This afternoon I received an interesting PM from Babel (FPSB) which is about a so called European New Generation Cup. This tournament is an inofficial (are there actually any really official penspinning tournaments?) competition, in which – as the name already bespeaks – european communities should match with each other. The aim is to give spinners who never participated in the World Tournament or World Cup yet (and also didn’t manage this year) a chance to gain international recognition and to get to know spinners from other countries better. There should be no hesitation like there usually is at “official” tournaments, but in already two weeks (i.e. until december 13th) each participating community should bring a list of their nominated penspinners in. Afterwards there will be three rounds only, where the first two rounds (with 32 starting participants) pass off like a KO-system and the last round with eight remaining penspinners results in a collaboration (in which certainly the rankings will be announced). The combos will be rated by one judge per community.
I’m operating on the assumption that SPC will participate with three participants, but at this very moment nobody knows who will belong to those three participants. Anyways, in two weeks we’ll know more!

Zombo didn’t calculate the results yet (and still wants to wait for THPSC), but you can have a look at the rankings of the communities and make your own calculations, who’s going to be in the main round.

//e: Ok, no good. Probably SPC won’t make it. We’re only qualified in the rankings from PPP, PSH, UPSB and VNPSB… -.-’
The deadline for the rankings of the World Cup 2010 qualification collabs was yesterday and according to Zombo only the rankings from GPC and THPSC are still missing. I hope Zombo will keep his word and publish the results “in a few hours” and won’t wait for the missing rankings… I can barely wait for the results since I need to know whether SPC’s through or not!

Regular visitors of my blog probably already remarked it: Since today, www.anhhuy.ch is usable in two languages, German and English. This means that in the future I will write all articles in two languages so that they have an even bigger target audience and not only the Germans understand what I want to tell you. You can choose the preferred language in the sidebar at the right hand side and I hope that all the bugs which were existent in the beginning are no more present and you won’t get any error. If you do get errors, please tell me by commenting this article. By the way, you can also write your comments in German and English by use of the following code:
